Our Space & Partners

St. Peter's Episcopal Parish

Our facilities include a main church building capable of seating over 240 people in the sanctuary. The main building also contains a separate chapel, offices, a library/nursery, several classrooms, a large meeting space/Parish Hall, and a full kitchen.

We also have a separate gymnasium building with its own kitchen, which is used for our social activities, as well as by the local community for basketball, kendo (a Japanese fencing-like martial art), and volleyball.

We take a great deal of pride and joy in maintaining the buildings and grounds (using a lot of congregational help). As part of our recent Centennial Celebration in 2008, we installed a Japanese garden near the entrance to our sanctuary. At the same time, a sixty year old Japanese maple tree was donated and transplanted from a parishioner's yard to the front of the church.

The Diocese of Olympia's Refugee Resettlement Office

During the week, the Diocese of Olympia's Refugee Resettlement Office is located downstairs in the area we use as our parish hall.  The Refugee Resettlement Office helps refugees and asylees achieve economic self-sufficiency. Their mission is accomplished through resettlement, job placement activities, and business development programs that promote self-employment.

Refugee Resettlement Office, an affiliate of Episcopal Migration Ministries, was founded in 1978. They serve refugees and asylees living in the Seattle area. Their clients can come from anywhere in the world seeking guidance and assistance in building a new life in America. They offer the following services:

Resettlement, Immigration, English as a Second Language Classes, Employment Assistance, Individual Development Accounts, Micro-Enterprise Programs, Citizenship Classes, Business Training, Financial Literacy Training,
& STARS Training.

King Street Cooperative Preschool

The King Street Cooperative Preschool calls our gym home during the school week.  It is an independent co-op preschool in Seattle’s Central District. The children create, play, and explore in an environment where their ideas and interests are valued.
